Take the time to mark the
contents of every box on three sides - you won't
regret it later. Put items to which you need access in
your storage unit last. Toiletries and personal items,
often packed last should be at the front.
Stoves and refrigerators, once thoroughly cleaned, can
hold bulky items like blankets and pillows (wrapped in
plastic). Dresser drawers can be packed with things.
Pack heavy items like books in
smaller boxes. Keep the boxes 30 pounds or less for
easy moving. Seal the boxes with packing tape to avoid
accidents and improve stacking. Place durable goods on
the bottom of a stack, more fragile items on top. |
